山雞椒的木材材質中等，耐濕不蛀，但易劈裂，
可供普通家具和建築等用。花、葉和果皮主要提制檸檬醛的原料，
供醫藥製品和配製香精等用。
0.005%-0.01%山雞椒油能抑制試管內黃癬菌、斷發毛癬菌、
絮狀表皮癬菌、 山雞椒(3張)石膏樣孢子菌等9種皮膚癬菌。
0.033%-0.1%還能抑制白色念珠菌、新型隱球菌、
孢子絲菌及幾種皮膚著色真菌
（裴氏著色真菌、卡氏枝孢菌、茄病鐮刀黴、粉綠木黴等）。
